The May 21st games we were scheduled to play the Outsiders but we had to forfeit the two games frdifay night because we only had two females available for the games!

We are now 3-3 with forfeitiing are last three games.  We Do not have games this weekend due to Memorial Day Weekend.  The next games is June 4th at 235 PM vs the Ousiders.

Old Posts

I can only copy and paste the old posts, here they are in one post.  I did it just for archival purposes since it hadn’t been updated for awhile.

2009-09-20, Week 2 we played the Renegades. We were the visitor for the first game and had to play with nine players. Six males and four females showed up. We had to play with three outfielders and take an automatic out at the bottom of the lineup.

Danny pitched both games, Don had to work late. The first game we won 6-0. As Danny pitched a very good game, he gave up only fours hits. The team only had 10 hits and 5 walks. The highlights was Danny’s in the park HR and Rachel striking out twice!

At the beginning of the second game Ruby showed up giving us a full squad. Even though we finally had ten players the second game didn’t start off good. The Renegades scored 5 runs in the first inning and our first three batters didn’t get a hit. The second inning Danny settled in and we starting hitting. We scored 6 that inning, 4 on the third, and 3 in the fourth. Danny only allowed three more hits after the first inning leading us to a 13-7 win.

Next week we play Game Over.

Side Note: Talia played her first game with us this week and Alysia played her first game with us last week. Next week Stepp should have her debut. Welcome to the team!

2009-09-20, We won both game last week: Game 1 11-4, Game 2 15-2.

2009-09-15, First game of the fall season and we played the new team, The Knockouts. After a 45 minute delay we finally got the game started. We had exactly five males show up and six females, but one left after the first game. We ended up winning both games. The Knockouts played both games with nine players. Not certain about the scores but as soon as I get them I will post.

2009-09-15, All games are played at the Cannons Stadium

Sept. 12 vs. Knockouts

Sept. 19 vs. Renegades

Sept. 26 vs. Game Over

Oct. 3 BYE week

Oct. 10 vs. Jayhawks

Oct. 17 vs. Cardinals

Oct. 24 vs. Showstoppers

Oct. 31 vs. Cardinals

2009-09-15, …its has been a short summer at least it seemed that way. The Summer season has ended with a subpar record. Not sure what the final record was but it was around .500 or slightly higher. The Jayhawks won the regular season and the Showstoppers got division two by getting to the championship game at the end of season tourney.

Now for Fall ball…Danny will be coaching. The season will last to Halloween night. We are trying to get our game scheduled for Oct. 31st rescheduled. It might be we will play four games straight the week before. We have seven teams in the league for Fall with only one new team, the Knockouts.

2009-08-05

Long time since the last update. Here is the roundup for this past Summer/Spring Season 2009. We eneded coming up 5th out of eight teams. We ended the season at .500 with a 9-9 record! A drastic difference from the 1st place finish last season. Some highlights were that we finally beat the Cardinals and the favorite to win the league Mix-It-Up. New players that showed up were Scotti and Brandi, hopefully they will play with us in the future.

2009-05-05; May 2nd, 2009 we played Game Over. We won both games, 13-2 and 20-3. Next game is May 16th vs. the Jayhawks. We have off the 9th due to being Mothers Day weekend.

2009-04-27; May 25th was the first game of season. We played Mix-It-Up, formely known as Scorpions. It was a very interesting game. We won the first game 27-2 with the game being called after the 3rd inning to the slaughter rule. The second game we didn’t fair as well as we lost that one 15-13. We almost came back but couldn’t get those last two runs in the bottom of the 7th. By the middle of the 4th inning we were down 15-4 so we did make close. We definitly played one of the better teams in the league.

2009-04-15; The new schedule just came out for Spring/Summer 2009. I sent it to your emails so please check it. April 25th is the first game. Let me know if you are going to have any schdule conflicts ASAP. I will try updating the site this week.

2009-01-19; I added new photos! I added the pictures from the end of season “party” from L&B’s. I also added some old photos of the team. Please click on the “Pictures” link on the main page.

2009-01-19; Ok…its been a long time for a new entry. SORRY!! Fall ball ended in mid November with no updates to the website nor blog. We ended up playing during the week, tuesday night. The league consisted of new teams that are new to the league with many of the players being new. We only lost one game the whole season and won first place.

We also had an end of the season tournament and ended up coming in third place. We lost to the Cardinals and the Jayhawks. We didn’t have a great turnout to the tourney.

I don’t know if I will add the stats for Fall Ball…more like I’m too lazy to do it:( If I do add them I will post something here.

2008-08-18; Sorry about the lack of updates. The season is now over and we started out poorly but ended strong. We won the league for the second season in a row:) Not bad considering all the years that we came at the bottom of the standings.

The bad thing is that we lost the County Championships again! We did much better then last year losing 10-8.

Thank You to all that played and hope to see you next season.

2008-04-21; I haven’t received the new jerseys yet. AllStart Sports said they will be ready before fridays game but they were not. I will keep you posted on the status of the jerseys. When I get the jerseys I will know the price for the season

2008-04-21; This past saturday, the 19th, the season finally started. Our first game was against the Cardinals which has beat us for the past three seasons. Again we fell short! We lost the first game 8-9 and the second 13-15…I think those were the scores. We had a good turnout with nine females and 6 males showing up. Both games we had the lead but gave it up towards the end of the game. Some basic small errors cost us the games, it allowed them to continue their rallies. Overall it was definitly an exciting, good game. Stats will be up soon, I hope!

See ya next week,

Victor

2008-02-27; Hello All,

I just had my first meeting for the summer/spring 2008 season. More or less the same stuff.

1. Dual sanction NSA/ASA

2. Games are most likely sat. at Eagle

3. There will be a weeknight league but for new teams, will be division 3

4. We will have to buy own balls

5. County fees are $25 for in county and $30-something for out-of-county

6. League fees will be around $500

7. We will be getting plaques and not tshirts for league champ

8. We can play with more males then females, play with nine…5 males and four females, the fifth female will be an out

9. Only one courtesy runner per inning

10. Have ten teams, max of 12

11. No games on Memorial, Fourth of July, Mothers Day, and Fathers Day. We could use fathers day for makeup games though.

I think that is it in a nutshell.

Victor

2008-02-05; Hello all,

Hope everyone had a good Holiday Season and a great New Year. The temperature is starting to get warmer and days are getting longer which means softball season is fast approaching:)

Now its time to get the troops together. I need to know if you want to play this coming season. I don’t have any info about times, days, price, etc. But assume it will be on sat. and either evening or early. I’m assuming we will have only one day played since teams seem to not stay in the league long. Unless we play Valley View in Manassas which are Sunday evening.

81 Days till the season starts with registration starting next week, middle-end of April? Early bird tourney is scheduled for April 4, 5, and 6. Probably that sat the 5th.

Money depends on how much thes eason will cost. I will ask IKEA but do not count on it. The fee probably range around$75-$50, hopefully the later. I will need this before the registration is due, which is ?? Just say a month before the early bird, the week of March 5th. That will allow me time to either get new players or drop out of the league. Please if you havn’t paid me for the previous season(s) please pay me.

Also here is a list of tourneys for ASA in Valley View…local NSA is still not posted.

March ?? (TBD) 2nd Annual Lester Leonard Tournament

April 26 – 27 18th Annual Officer Pennington Memorial

May 17 – 18 Valley View Invitational

June 7 – 8 2nd Annual Capitol Classic

July 5 – 6 Fourth of July Firecracker

August 2 – 3 Battle Of Manassas

August 23 – 24 Northern Virginia Championships

Let me know what you think,

Victor

2007-11-29; Thank You all for playing this year. It has been one of oour greatest years in coed softball highlighted by our first place finish!

The end of Fall tournament was a good won although we didn’t win we showed alot of heart and effort. We fell short of beating the Scorpions by one run in one pitch. We played with nine players the whole game, 5 males and 4 females. We had three outfielders and took an automatic out were our 10th batter should have been. That whole game we were down by 5+ runs but we never gave up. We ended up tying the game with our last at bat and entered one pitch. We eventually lost by one run the next inning ending our tournament. What made it worse is that the Scorpions ended up winning the tournament by beating the Jayhawks, and the Cardinals twice!

Stats for the year are being worked on. I promise to get those done before the new season starts. I have finished the game summary for summer and I’m almost done with fall. After that I have to enter the stats in the program to tally the totals.

Please if you havn’t payed me please do that. Send me an email if you need any information. I will talk to IKEA about paying some of the bill next season, but start saving now to pay the me ahead of time. Also be ready to play in some tournaments, hopefully we will have more people participate next year. Keep an eye out for any females that want to play. We had nine on the roster last year but had a low turnout each game. I prefer to have more then less.

Hope everyone has a great off season and enjoy the Holidays.

See you next year,

Victor

2007-10-24; The League will have a End-of-Season Tournament. The tournament will be November 10, 2007 at the stadium. The times are not posted. Usually not all the teams play and the last one was early, but of course we played early games then. I will post and send an email out as soon as I find out more. Probably a couple of days before the tournament.

2007-10-24; I finally got back from Orlando just in time for the game versus Gameover. I got there just in time to see the lights go out at the beginning of the game. After a 15 minute or so delay we started the game. We won both games, I do not have the scores but both were won by 10+ runs. That gives us a record of 10-4 with two weeks left, four more games.

While I was away, the game vs. the Jayhawks was a win due to forfeit. Jayhawks didn’t have a full squad. Next game will be against the Body Shots at 8:10 pm.

2007-09-30; Sorry that I haven’t updated for the season. Let see…we have played four teams as of last night, we are 5-3. The roster is basically the same as Spring, we do have some additions and subtractions. Playing this season is Floyd, Joe, and Rachel. Dawn, Jo, and Daniel are not with us this season. Tackett’s Mill is sponsoring us this fall, thanks to Danny and Charlie:)

We are playing saturday night at the Stadium this season. The league consists of 11 teams and 10 weeks for the season. We play each team once. We once again have new teams, 3 new teams and one returning team.

This past game we played the Showstoopers, which is now probably our biggest rivals. The games are always close and competitive. We ended up splitting the games, losing the first 8-7 and winning the second 10-8.

2007-08-06; First year we are the EPWC County Champs!! We finished the regular season with only two losses. We will know face Balls Deep in the County Championships.

2007-08-06, The results for the Midnight Madness Tournament is in. We finished 5-2 and came in 7 out of 43 teams:) Great job. The two teams that beat us came in 1st and 3rd in the tournament.

Roster: Males-Randy Eyler, John Moore, Danny Lee, Lefty Terrant, Dan Emhurtraut, Mike Reagen, and Victor Esposito.  Females-Jessica Nohre, Kristen Junkin, Julie, Angie, Rachel Bobilia, and Jean.

2007-07-11, This past weekend we finished another tourney. We finished with a record of 1-3. A much better outing then the first one. Only three teams entered; Jayhawks, Orange Crush, and ourselves.

Results:

Game1 16-6, lost to Orange Crush

Game2 6-5, won Jayhawks

Game3 11-2, lost Jayhawks

Game4 11-3, lost Jayhawks

Our Roster:

Male: Female:

Floyd Sonja

Daniel Danielle

Randy Carrie

Kyle Sarah

Don Ruby

Victor Jean

Thank You to all that played

2007-07-03, The results for the tournament on June 30th:

Only 2 of the four teams showed up. Pepperidge Farm from Stafford was the other team that showed up besides ourselves. So what we did is enter DE (Double-Elimination) with Pepperidge Farm. We ended losing all the games, game1 15-14 and Game2 16-3. We ended up playing a third game for the fun of it and ended up losing that one 14-6.

Our Roster: Females-Kristen, Jessica, Jo, Sarah, Jen T., and Tina

Males-Danny, Floyd, Daniel, Kyle, Victor, and Randy
Thank You to all that played.
Victor
P.S. Sorry Dan!!

2007-06-10, Ouch, another game were our our offense suffered. We barely beat the Renegades 13-7 and 8-6. At times we looked good but again we were playing a team that only had nine players! We will have a week off for fathers day and then come back to play the Disciples, a decent team. The stats for the game will hopefully be up soon.

2007-06-02, OMG!! We were 8-0 and the Cardinals were 5-1. We ended up losing both games, 9-7 and 5-3. We did an excellent job playing defense but we had no offense. We couldn’t hit the ball worth crap. We should have won both games but we didn’t seem to want to play nor win.
